Manipur weddings are held at Bride’s home. The wedding ceremonies involve Hinaba, Yathang Thanaga & Waraipot Puba, Hejiapot, Bor Baton & Leilenga, and, Lugongba (Wedding ceremony). The bride carries a traditional Kasavusaree in white with a golden border and the groom carries a white dhoti with a gold zari border called Mundu paired with a scarf, Melmundu.

10. MAHARASHTRIAN WEDDING RITUALS & ATTIRE

Maharashtrian weddings are simple and delightful. Pre-wedding rituals start with SakharPuda(engagement), Kelvan, and HaladChadavane(Haldi).
